We are a church family of diverse people united in our worship of Jesus Christ, gathered together from the communities of North Uist, Berneray, Grimsay and beyond.

We have young people, older people and everything in between. We come as families – sometimes extended families – and as individuals. Some of our people have roots in these islands going back generations and some are just beginning to put down their roots, others may be just passing through and with us for a season. We have people from Free Church backgrounds, from other church traditions and with no church background at all. We are united by our commitment to serving Jesus Christ in our communities.

If you share that desire, or if you don’t but want to know more about it, we’d love it if you could join with us. If you are new to the island, or the church, if you’ve been away and are coming back or if you are just visiting, please feel welcome here.

Our Leadership

Our minister is Rev David Ferguson. David completed his studies at Edinburgh Theological Seminary in the summer of 2024 and took up the role of minister here in September that year, along with his wife, Catherine and their son. Prior to going into the ministry, David lived most of his life in Invergordon and during his training served in Tain & Fearn and Dunfermline.

We currently have one Elder assisting David, John MacAulay, a long-time stalwart of the congregation.
